Everything founders and traders ask about Keel. Can't find it here? The How it works page has every scoring rule.
General
What is Keel?+
Keel is a public shipping record for products listed on Orynth. Every day it checks each product's GitHub activity, changelog and live link, gives it a Pulse score out of 100, and marks it Lit or Dim.
Is Keel part of Orynth?+
No. Keel is an independent product built for the Orynth community. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Orynth.
How much does it cost?+
Nothing. Keel is free for founders and traders. There are no paid placements or boosts, and every product is scored by the same published rules.
Which products can join?+
Any product with a page on orynth.dev. To be scored, it needs a public GitHub repo or a changelog page, plus a live product link.
Pulse and scoring
How is Pulse calculated?+
Shipping is worth up to 50 points (commits, releases or a changed changelog page in the last 7 days). Uptime is worth 25, and a weekly founder update is worth up to 25. Each week blends with the last one. The How it works page has every rule.
What makes a product Lit?+
A verified shipping signal in the last 7 days, and a live link that isn't down. A founder's note alone never lights a product, because anyone can type a changelog.
My product is closed source. Can it be Lit?+
Yes. Add your public changelog page. When its content changes between checks, it counts as shipping.
How often is Pulse updated?+
Every product is rescored once a day. Founders can recalculate on demand from their product page, at most once every 10 minutes.
Why did my streak reset?+
Streaks count consecutive Lit weeks. If a week passes with no verified shipping signal, or the site was down when Keel checked, the streak starts again.
Founders
How do I prove I own my product?+
When you add your product, you get a claim code. Put it in a file named keel.txt at your repo root, or anywhere on your live site, then press Check ownership. You'll get the verified mark.
What is the founder key?+
A private key shown once when you add your product. Your browser remembers it, but you need it to post updates from another device. Keep it somewhere safe.
How do I add the badge?+
Your product page has a Markdown snippet ready to copy. Paste it into your README, site or Orynth page. It updates on its own.
Can someone else add my product?+
Anyone can add a product, but only the owner can verify it, because verification needs access to the repo or live site. If someone else added yours, add it yourself and verify it. The verified mark shows which entry is really yours.
Traders
What is Under the radar?+
Lit products with a linked token, ranked by Pulse per $10K of market cap. It surfaces products that are shipping hard at a small valuation.
Where does market data come from?+
From public DexScreener data, using the token's most liquid pair. It's refreshed whenever the product is rescored.
Is Keel financial advice?+
No. Keel shows whether products are being built. It says nothing about a token's future price. Orynth tokens carry no equity, ownership or promises, and you should do your own research.
Token
Is there a $KEEL token?+
A $KEEL token may launch on Orynth once Keel is listed there. Like every Orynth token, it would reflect attention only: no equity, no ownership, no revenue share and no promises.
Does holding $KEEL change scores?+
No. Pulse is the same for everyone, and no holding, payment or relationship changes a product's score or position.
